The Lewinsville Adult Health Center has nominated seven women from the Greater McLean Republican Women's Club for the Fairfax Adult Volunteer Group of the year.

Since 1985, the club has helped the Center celebrate six holidays "in style," including Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day, Father and Mother's Day, Halloween, and Christmas. According to the Center, the Club has not missed a holiday in the past twenty seven years.

The ladies bring baked goods, sandwiches, special treats, and small gifts specifically selected for each individual. They also host an Annual Mother's Day Fashion Show and sponsor a visit from Santa Claus!

The Center writes that  the ladies "bring smiles to everyone's faces when they arrive. It's hard to imagine celebrating our holidays without the support and efforts of the Greater McLean Republican Women's Club." The wonderful ladies supporting this effort are Mary Ellen McInnis, Bea Sommovigo, Grace Harkins, Joan Dubois, and Margaret Roberts, Nancy Weekly, and Bev Christopher.
