All McLean Schools Will Reopen Thursday
Langley High and Spring Hill Elementary were closed Monday through Wednesday because of Hurricane Sandy.
All public schools in McLean will open on time Thursday morning.
Four schools in the Fairfax County Public School system remained closed on Wednesday because of power outages, including Langley High School and Spring Hill Elementary School in McLean. All Fairfax County schools closed on Monday and Tuesday because of Hurricane Sandy, but the vast majority reopened on Wednesday morning.
Thousands of Dominion customers, including many businesses and schools, lost power in McLean.
According to the utility company's interactive outage map, 3,630 customers in Fairfax County were still powerless at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The map also indicates more than 100 customers in McLean were still in the dark, but McLean Patch readers have commented that the map has not accurately represented outages in their neighborhoods.
The utility company told Gov. Bob McDonnell it intends to restore power to all customers by Thursday evening.
