Man Dies in Potomac River Near Great Falls

This stretch of the river is "particularly deadly," according to the Washington Post.

A young man in his late teens or early 20s died in the Potomac River near Riverbend Park in Great Falls on Friday, Montgomery County police have confirmed to the Associated Press.

"Police say the man apparently entered the water south of Riverbend Park and waded to the middle of the river, where he became trapped," the AP reports.

No foul play is suspected.
