UPDATE: Around McLean: New Address for Presidential Bank, McLean Businesses Celebrate Anniversaries

Seen Around Town This Week

What we saw travelling around town this week:

UPDATE: There are two retail spaces on the first floor of 6707 Old Dominion Drive.

One of those spaces is now occupied by Presidential Bank which moved from its previous Chain Bridge Road address.

The second space was the space formerly occupied by Mae's Dress Boutique, which closed in March after more than 30 years.

Workmen are now working in that space. McLean Patch will check the reports about the identity of the new tenant.

ORIGINAL STORY: Presidential Bank moving from Chain Bridge Road next to the pizza shop, down Old Dominion Drive to building that formerly housed Mae's dress shop.

Just had coffee at the Star*Nut Gourmet, one of McLean's four coffee shops. It's celebrating its 10th anniversary.

McLean BP celebrating 20th year at the crossroads of McLean at Chain Bridge and Old Dominion Drive.

Sweetleaf Restaurant (one of our favorites) has a "we're hiring" sign in its front window.

The time and temperature display at Business Bank showed temperature as 97 in downtown McLean when we drove by this week.

Guest speaker at McLean Rotary Tuesday is State Department official Nancy Fisher.

Saw this great sign at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer: Congratulations Graduates. You will always have a home here.

Reminder: Old Chesterbrook Road is closed for the replacement of the bridge over Pimmit Run. McLean Patch forgot this week. Big mistake.

Please share things you spotted around town this week in comments.

The article just says the bank is moving into the building, not the space, where Mae's was located.

Truth be told, a Chipotle would be far more interesting than one more bank, tutoring company, or nail salon reshuffling itself on Chain Bridge or Old Dominion.

Thanks Mozart-yes, I just realized that's pretty big space...there is still hope---in addition to banks, nail salons and tutor co. I would add dry cleaners. Mclean is very uninspiring.

I spoke with my dentist that works in that building and it is true that a Chipotle is going into the space that Mae's was in.
