Dolcezza, a gelato shop and coffee bar, opened in the Mosaic District Saturday. This is Deolcezza’s first location in Virginia, Eater.com reported.

Dolcezza is offering 16 flavors of gelato for its opening and will have more flavors once the warm weather comes. The coffee bar will offer Verve coffee and pastries.

The Mosaic District is southwest of Tysons Corner near Merrifield, at 2910 District Ave., Fairfax.

According to Dolcezza’s website, “Our philosophy is simple: Be curious. Be spontaneous. Play with your food. Support local farmers and make exquisite gelato.”

Taylor Gourmet Deli opened in the Mosaic District earlier this year. The Mosaic District is a new development with nearly three dozen retailers already open or set to open later this spring.
