ICE Investigating Possible Human Trafficking Case in McLean

The home of a diplomat appears to be at the center of the investigation.

Agents from U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security Investigations are reportedly investigating a case of possible human trafficking, according to NBC Washington.

Two voice messages left for an ICE spokesperson by Patch were not immediately returned Wednesday night.

A Fairfax County Police spokesperson told Patch the department is not handling the investigation and only aided ICE agents Wednesday at the McLean home where the alleged events took place.

According to the television station’s report, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia owns the home in the 6000 block of Orris St., where two potential victims of human trafficking were found.

The television reported one woman tried to flee the home by squeezing through a gap in the front gate as it was closing.

In May of 2011, Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) signed three bills intended to prevent human trafficking throughout the state. The three bills will assist law enforcement agencies throughout Virginia in the prosecution of people involved in human trafficking.
