Local Blog Features McLean Real Estate at Unbelievable Prices

A 4-bedroom house in McLean for $23,450? That's worth a double-take.

The "Ghosts of DC" blog - which highlights the long lost history of D.C. and its surrounding neighborhoods and has nothing whatsoever to do with ghosts - dug up an old real estate advertisement this week featuring Devon Park houses as low as $21,990.

The ad spotlights three mid-century modern style homes, the Devonbrook, the Devoncrest and the Devonaire. The most expensive of the three - the four-bedroom Devonbrook - is a mere $23,450.

According to The Washington Post, the average home price in Devon Park is now $693,000.

How's that for a reality check?

It's funny how it's advertised as 5 minutes from 7 Corners. It's much closer to Tyson's Corner, but the ad does not mention that. Things change. :)
