Lots of Doings in McLean Today

Block of Raymond Avenue closed in downtown.

 

McLean neighbors will find a block of Raymond Avenue between the Old Firehouse and the Starbucks closed today.

The tents are up for the 21st anniversary and block party celebration of the Old Teen Center. There's live entertainment, amusements, food concessions, and the first ever “McLean Teens Got Talent” show. 11 am. - 4 p.m.

McLean Remembers the Civil War. 11 am - 5 pm at the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave.  and will include speakers, re-enactors, a living history encampment, and period music as well as photographs and memorabilia. This is a free community event for the whole family.  Historian and award-winning broadcaster, Roger Mudd, will be the honorary event chairman and keynote speaker.

McLean Symphony begins its 40th season at the Alden Theater tonight. 7:30 p.m. The Alden Theatre located in the McLean Community Center.
