A 51-year-old McLean resident was killed Sunday after the car in which he was riding with his family was involved in an accident with a pickup truck in East Hampton, NY, Newsday and the Associated Press have reported.

The victim was identified by Newsday and the Associated Press as Douglas Foster Schneiderman.

Newsday reported, "... Schneiderman's wife, Elisabeth, 51, and daughter, Rachael, 16, were airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said." The driver of the pickup was also taken to Stony Brook, Newsday reported.
