The McLean Orchestra season finale features a musical salute to Italy highlighted by Respighi’s The Pines of Rome. The Italian theme is intended to tie in with the orchestra’s annual fundraiser on April 14th, which will be held at the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

An eclectic mix of music will be highlighted, ranging from Bernstein and Ellington to Vieuxtemp. The concert will culminate with musical compositions of area youths. With support from symphony members, the young composers are offered the opportunity to hear their music played by an orchestra.
