Introducing the "Fountain of Youth" - a New Blog on the McLean Patch

One of the biggest challenges that we ALL face is increasing our youthful zest and energy. Young people are often stressed; this saps their energy. Older people are finding that fatigue is a big problem.

We can do a lot with good diet, nutritional supplements, exercise, positive attitude, etc. And there are interesting things going on – revolutionary medical advances – that have a lot of promise. But the challenge is to “bring it all together.”

This new blog - exclusive to the McLean Patch - will discuss ALL ASPECTS of how a person can create their very own “Fountain of Youth.” Some suggested practices will draw from esoteric body and energy movement patterns, such as the ancient Chinese “silk-weaving exercises” – exercises that monks learned even BEFORE they learned “kung fu.” These were the Chinese secrets of health and revitalization. In a like vein, the yogis discovered special breathing techniques called pranayama.

In our Western European-based culture, esoteric scholars and seekers developed unique visualization methods that they used to build their personal energy.

All of these are worth our attention.

With recent research, though, anti-aging and rejuvenation is at the forefront of medical science. Thus, in this blog I'll also discuss the most recent medical advances, the “latest word” on everything from Fish Oil supplements (are they really what we need?) up to (and including) Human Growth Hormones and other methods that are a little “on the leading edge.”

The goal of this blog is thus to give YOU - the reader - insights and access. You'll get links to the best articles, thoughtful commentaries on the latest research, ideas that you can incorporate into your daily life, and - perhaps most importantly - the "secrets of the Fountain of Youth" - ages-old practices that are perhaps more vital and important today as we desire health, vitality, and energy to go along with our increased lifespans.

To your health, happiness, and well-being!

Thank you for dedicating a blog to helping us all have more energy and vitality. Can't wait to read the research on the latest with anti-aging. Your first posting reminds me of the Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen -- we have the answers within us and it is the little choices we make daily that are cumulative to what we become. Little choices, every day. Thank you, Alianna for beginning the dialogue.
