Occasionally Cake of Mount Vernon for their fabulous cupcakes. There is always an amazing flavor for whatever your sweet tooth wants. Bananas Foster, Tiramisu, and Caramel Apple are irresistable. Consistently delicious!

Occasionally Cake is, hands down, the best bakery in the Mt. Vernon area. Their attention to detail, whimsy and delicious products are simply fantastic. Best of all, they are a woman-owned, local, small business.

My wife and I get in a lot of trouble with Occasionally Cake's assortment of cupcakes. And it is worth it! My favorite is the Snickerdoodle and hers is anything featuring their delicious peanut butter frosting.

Danielle's Desserts--it's the only place i've EVER been too that has seriously made me have "a moment". I now compare every cake and cupcake i have to Danielle's and while some have come close, Danielle's always takes the cake!!!! :)

I have to give this vote to Danielle's Desserts! I stumbled across them in Tyson's 2 one day and fell in love with the desserts there. The coconut and pineapple cake reminds me of my grandma's .....and the strawberries and creme cake was like none other....it literally melts in your mouth!!!

This poll is such a popularity contest on who can publicize it more on Facebook and their social medial sites. For someone that has actually been to most of these places on the list, including the leading ones, my vote is for Danielle's Desserts. Safeway also has a great bakery - many people don't know that they make custom cupcakes, desserts, pies, cakes just like the high cost bakeries and they are just as good, if not better. You can't beat $6 for 12 cupcakes and they are delicious. My niece recently ordered 200 cupcakes for her wedding from Safeway and they did a brilliant job - guests were amazed that they were from Safeway.

Let me put a plug in for Jireh's. Not the traditional type bakery...a lot of Asian inspired goodies...but very tasty...and a great atmosphere in one of Centreville's Historic buildings!

Cupcake Ladi - all other cupcakes are wasted calories after tasting hers! And her potato chip cookies... wow!

Gluten free is offered as well and just as scrumpteous. New sweet creations featured continually - and not dainty on flavor! Just lately a summer triffle! There is not an appropriate category for TCL's shop of slendorous, gooey goodies! Nuf said ;<}

The true test of a good cupcake is the cake! Edibles Incredible has the best of any I've tasted, in addition to fabulous flavors, plus creamy frosting. (Many other cupcakes are dry and INedible, just a frosting-holder really.)

Edibles Incredible did my wedding cake after I went to another wedding who used them. Usually the cake at a wedding is just a prop, but their cake is a showpiece and a conversation topic. I got lemon cake with pineapple filling. It sounds like an odd combo, but it was amazing!

This is like comparing apples to oranges. Edibles Incredible has the most delicious cake, whereas Great Harvest has wonderful bread and cookies. They don't sell the same products; how could I ever truly compare the two? Then, there's a place like The Pie Gourmet--I don't think either of the aforementioned bakeries make pie. So this is a very tough choice. But, I'm voting for Edibles Incredible because I have been buying cake from here since my wedding in 2004. I can never go wrong with a cake from this place.

The cupCake Ladi is an experience ypu must try. the cupcakes are mosit, fresh and organic. Besides there are other delightful treats she has in the store. She is the most sincer person I have ever met and her cowork for animals is incredible.

Danielle's Desserts are amazing, breathtaking and downright perfect!! All I know is people drive as far as fredericksburg, VA to get her goods!! Real homemade!

Danielle's bakery has the best cupcakes ever. The cake is moist and the favors are subtle and not artificial tasting. Once you have one from her you wil never be satisfied with a mass produced cupcake from anywhere else.. They are addicting. Try the coconut. Unbelievable delicious.
