Campers are faced with daily challenges while having fun and l earning new skills. Before each activity\, instructors teach proper pro cedure and safety. As campers gain confidence in each activity\, instru ctors demonstrate new techniques. Out for Fun activities include canoei ng\, rock climbing\, and hiking. Overnight camping trips are a highligh t of this three-week program. Campers work together with their instruct ors to set up and take down campsites as well as help prepare meals. Hi kes\, campfire songs\, and storytelling enhance the experience. Campers are grouped by age and grade with activities appropriate to each age le vel. Level A participants have an overnight camp out once a week. Level B campers also have a weekly overnight camping trip\, plus an additiona l two-night trip during the final week of the session. This longer trip is designed to provide more challenging activities.
