9/11 Commemoration, Library Board Meets Tonight, Voter Rights Discussion and More

9/11 Commemoration Ceremony: Arlington County, including top law enforcement officials, will hold at 9/11 commemoration ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Courthouse Plaza at 2100 Clarendon Blvd. Arlington County Fire Chief James Schwartz was the incident commander at the Pentagon on 9/11. More info here.

Library Board to Discuss Potential Changes: The Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at George Mason Regional Library to discuss proposed changes to the system, which could include staffing cuts. Here's five things you need to know about the potential changes.

Discuss Voter Rights: The League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area is hosting a discussion about voter rights at Star Nut Gourmet, 1445 Laughlin Ave., McLean. The event is at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. More info here.

Mike Elosh: This local singer-songwriter, who does some great covers and has some clever songs of his own, visits St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub at 2300 Mount Vernon Ave. in Del Ray for a free show beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Check out Mike’s website for samples of some of his tunes.

The Corcoran — Uncorked. The Corcoran Gallery of Art stays open late on Wednesdays for wine and cocktail tastings, lectures and tours. The cover charge is $15, which includes one drink during the 5 to 9 p.m. event. College students get in for free. The gallery is located at 500 17th St. NW in Washington.
