Fall Registration Opens at McLean Community Center, Looking for Unicorns in Kent Gardens and More

Support Fair Trade: Trade Roots, a fair trade store at 5852 N. Washington Blvd. in the Westover community, announced Monday night that it has formed a partnership with the Maasai and the Leakey Collection. (More info here.) The store is meeting with several fair trade groups early this week and is taking customer suggestions for store items on its Facebook page.

See "Much Ado About Nothing" in DC: It's this summer’s Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Free for All performance. "Much Ado About Nothing" opens Tuesday at Sidney Harman Hall. It’s free and runs through Sept. 1. Tuesday’s performance is at 7:30 p.m.

"Chasing Ice" film screening: This climate change documentary follows the story of a photographer struggling to show the melting of glaciers before they're gone. Hosted by the Chesapeake Climate Change Action Network, the free screening starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, 323 S. Fairfax St. in Old Town Alexandria.
