TARA SANKNER SUPPORTED BY PIERRE GARÇON, VGSL FAMILIES

Vienna Girls Softball League (VGSL) players and parents had the chance to rally support alongside Washington Redskins Wide Receiver Pierre Garçon for one of VGSL’s 10U softball players, Tara Sankner this week.

 

Tara was diagnosed this year with astrocytoma, a form of brain cancer. Many in the community have supported Tara and her family in her fight, and Garçon sponsored pizza nights in a partnership with Paisano’s Pizza in which proceeds were set aside for Tara and her family. On Thursday, October 24, Garçon presented Tara with a check for $10,000, in the company of Tara’s VGSL teammates, friends and families.
