Beltway Closings Continue Overnight - Up to 30 minute Delays After Midnight

List of this week's traffic tangles in and around Tysons Corner caused by the Metro and HOT Lanes Construction:

Up to 30 minute Beltway Closings After Midnight

• I-66 east at I-495 - Two lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

• I-66 east HOV to I-495 - Ramps closed Monday - Saturday night for bridge demolition. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east general purpose (right exits) to access I-495.

Overnight Lane Closures on the I-495 Capital Beltway Continue This Week
 
Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will continue the bridge construction over I-495 at the Route 123 intersection, weather permitting. Multiple lanes in either direction of the beltway may be closed in the overnight hours, though thru traffic will be permitted. Specific lane closures will be announced daily.
 
In addition, the entrance ramp from southbound Route 123 to southbound I-495 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday nights. To access southbound I-495, traffic will be directed to continue on southbound Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road), turn right on International Drive, right on Galleria Drive, right on Tysons Boulevard, then a slight left and immediate right on to the ramp to southbound I-495.

Safety Alert: Flaggers on Magarity Road at Dulles Connector Road Overpass

 Drivers who use Magarity Road in the McLean/Falls Church area should be aware that flaggers will control thru traffic under the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) overpass next week as bridge construction occurs over the roadway.
 
Flaggers will be in that location Monday, Oct. 24 - Thursday, Oct. 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, Oct. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Please be alert and use extreme caution when using this stretch of Magarity Road.

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted

• I-495 south to Exit 45B, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.

• I-495 north to Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west - Ramp closed Sunday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.

• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. west at I-495 - Road closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for overhang work. Traffic will be directed to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west. Motorists will not be tolled.

• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east at I-495 - Road closed Monday and Tuesday nights for overhang work. Traffic will be directed to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east. Motorists will not be tolled.

• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west. 

Additional disruptions:

• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Westpark Dr. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Two left lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for concrete work.

• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at Tysons Blvd. - Turn lanes to Tysons Blvd. closed Friday and Saturday night for pier work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour sign.

• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Wednesday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a left onto International Dr. south, make a left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 south.
