Beltway Overnight  Closings

 I-495 North and South to close for up to 45 minutes at a time at I-66, between 9:30 pm. and 5 am. Monday - Saturday.

Ramp from Southbound I-495 to Southbound Route 123 to Close Overnights Friday and Saturday
 
Between 11 pm. and 5 am. on May 6 and May 7, Dulles Corridor Metrorail crews will close the ramp from southbound I-495 (Outer Loop) to southbound Route 123. Traffic will detour by staying on southbound I-495 and taking the exit to westbound Leesburg Pike (Route 7). From westbound Route 7, drivers can turn right on International Drive to access southbound Route 123. This is the only lane or ramp closure scheduled for the I-495/Route 123 interchange this week. 

Eastbound Tysons Boulevard to Close Overnights Monday through Wednesday between Galleria Drive and Chain Bridge Road (Route 123)
 
The eastbound lanes of Tysons Boulevard (street in front of Tysons Mall)  will be closed from Galleria Drive to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) from 11 pm. to 5 am. Monday, May 2 through Wednesday, May 4, for pier and station work.
 
The turn lanes from Galleria Drive on to Eastbound Tysons Boulevard will be closed. Westbound Tysons Boulevard traffic will remain open. Note: Galleria Drive only allows a right-turn on to International Drive and thus does not access Route 123.
 
Paving and Lane Shift Work May Increase Noise along Westbound Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) Overnights May 2-7
 
Residents who live along sections of the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) from slightly East of Idylwood Road to Pimmit Run in the McLean/Falls Church area may hear noise related to paving work overnights Monday, May 2, though Saturday, May 8.
 
Paving in the westbound lanes is scheduled to occur weeknights from 9:30 pm. to 5 am. and on weekends from 10 pm. to 9 am.
 
Paving is an extremely dangerous activity and will require the use of backup alarms to ensure workers' safety. Drivers should be on the lookout for a slight lane shift in this area when work is complete. Police will be onsite at all times for motorist safety.
 
Night Work along I-66 West Will Be Part of Next Weekend's Orange Line Single Tracking
 
Critical tie-in work to the existing Orange Line is scheduled for the weekend of May 6-8 when Metro will  be single tracking service in this area. To provide safe worksite access, crews will close the left thru lane of eastbound Interstate 66 from 300 feet west of the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) overpass to 500 feet east of the Great Falls Street overpass.
 
This lane will be closed from 9:30 pm. to 5 am. overnight Friday, May 6 and 10 pm. to 5:30 am. on Saturday, May 7. Crews will work until early Monday morning unless the work is complete ahead of time.
 
Waterline Installation Continues Overnights at Leesburg Pike (Route 7)/Spring Hill Road Intersection in Tysons Corner; Detours Required
 
Crews are scheduled to continue installation of a major waterline at the intersection of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Spring Hill Road. This will require the closure of all lanes of northbound Spring Hill Road for a 150-foot stretch north of Route 7.
 
Traffic from Route 7 will be detoured to use Westpark Drive, to Greensboro Drive, to access Spring Hill Road. Southbound Spring Hill Road traffic wishing to access Route 7 will use the reverse of that route. This work is expected to last through the overnight hours though Mid-May.

• I-66 east from the Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) to Great Falls St. overpass - Left lane closed Friday and Saturday nights for rail line work.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west from Idylwood Rd. overpass to Pimmit Run - Single lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for lane shift.

• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east from Idylwood Rd. overpass to I-66 - Left lane closed Monday night for retaining wall work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Spring Hill Rd. - Left turn lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for waterline installation. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at Tyco Rd. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and make a right onto Spring Hill Rd.

• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Westpark Dr. to Spring Hill Rd. - Two lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for utility work. Expect intermittent road closures of up to 15 minutes after midnight.

• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Tyco Rd. to The Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for barrier movement, grading, drainage, and signal work. Expect intermittent road closures of up to 15 minutes after midnight.

• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Westwood Center Dr. to Spring Hill Rd. - Two lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for utility work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Spring Hill Rd. - Two left turn lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for utility work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a left turn onto Westpark Dr. east, left onto Greensboro Dr. and follow signs to Spring Hill Rd.

• Westwood Center Dr. east and west at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Multiple lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for paving.
• Spring Hill Rd. at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for waterline installation. Spring Hill Rd. traffic will be directed to take Greensboro Rd. south, make a left onto Westpark Dr. and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7). Greensboro Rd. traffic will be directed to make a right onto Spring Hill Rd., left onto Tyco Rd. and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7).

• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Road closed Monday - Wednesday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to make a left at Galleria Dr onto Westpark Dr., left onto Westbranch Dr., right on Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr. south and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).

• Galleria Dr. east and west at Tysons Blvd. - Turn lanes to Tysons Blvd. closed Monday - Wednesday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to make a left at Galleria Dr onto Westpark Dr., left onto Westbranch Dr., right on Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr. south and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd.
