Field Trip: Wakefield Skate Park
Where/When: Departing from the Old Firehouse Teen Center; Friday, May 27, 2:00 to 6:00 pm.

Why Go: Beginners and experts can enjoy the thrills and excitement of skateboarding, inline skating, and BMX biking on Wakefield’s Freestyle and Competition courses. Teens may sign up in person at the Teen Center, by phone at 703-448-8336 (TEEN) or by e-mail. They’ll need to bring their own gear.
Pricing: After school program is free for OFTC members; some additional fees may apply.

Ages: Middle schoolers.
People, Places and Things! Presented by the McLean Symphony
Where/When: Alden Theatre, 1236 Ingleside Ave, McLean; Saturday, May 28, 7:30 pm.
Why Go: The 39th season of the McLean Symphony culminates with this concert. Classical Guitarist Larry Snitzler will add an interesting musical dimension to the symphony, and the performance of Aaron Copeland’s lively and familiar Rodeo Suite will keep your kids and teens engaged.
Pricing: General Admission $25; Seniors $20; Students with ID $15; Children under 12 Free with ticket.

The American Classic Carousel Opens on Weekdays at Clemyjontri Park
Where/When: Clemyjontri Park, 6317 Georgetown Pike, McLean; open on Weekdays beginning May 30, from 9:30am - 1:00pm, and Weekends 9:30am - 6:30pm.
Why Go: The gorgeous American Classic Carousel is the centerpiece of Clemyjontri—a playground unique in its accessible features. The carousel is recessed to ground level so that it is welcoming of wheelchairs, allowing children of all abilities to play side by side.
Pricing: $1.50 per ride.
Ages: All welcome.
