18th Century Autumn Market Fair
Where/When: Claude Moore Colonial Farm, 6310 Georgetown Pike, McLean; Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16, 11 am - 4:30 pm

Why Go: 18th Century Colonial Market Fair is an autumn favorite. Celebrate the season with roaring fires, crisp local apples, and hearty breads. Market Fair entertainers, tradesmen, and the militia will amuse and educate you. Kids can learn to dip candles or turn a piece of wood on the carpenter’s lathe. Period food and traditional beverages and wares available for purchase.
Pricing: $6 adults; $3 children and senior citizens; children under 3 are free

Kidtoberfest! at Fairfax Corner
Where/When: Fairfax Corner, East Ave, Fairfax; Saturday, October 15, 12 pm – 3 pm
Why Go: Radio DJ Toby from HOT 99.5 will host this outdoor family festival, featuring great music, a moon bounce, pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, kids costume contest and much more.

Ages: All welcome
Where/When: McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Avenue, McLean; Tuesday, October 18 and Tuesday, October 25, 4 – 6 pm
Why Go: You love your children—but you might not love how they behave in the kitchen and dining room. This two-session, highly popular etiquette class will have kids preparing a variety of foods, and discussing the concepts and rules of manners and etiquette in a fun and productive way.
Pricing: $72 for McLean district residents. $97 for everyone else.
