Meet the leaders of McLean Patch's new "Moms Talk"

The McLean Patch Moms Council will help lead discussions on parenting issues and parenting in McLean.

Each Wednesday at 2 p.m. they will write about an issue relevant to the parenting community. Our council members will help start and drive the discussion on the topic and we invite our readers will weigh in as well.

McLean Patch Moms/Biographies

Jennifer Bargerstock,  Falls Church resident, married, with two sons and a daughter, one Golden Retriever, one mixed poodle-terrier, two cats.

She was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in Arlington for her first two years before moving to McLean. She grew up here, attending Chesterbrook, St. John’s, Longfellow and graduating from McLean High School.

After earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education from Longwood College; she spent a year teaching in rural southwest Virginia before moving to Silver Spring, MD and starting a construction consulting business. Once her children came along, she managed her consulting work, operated a day care center from her home and even sold Tupperware. In 1998 she incorporated her consulting business and became a government contractor specializing in design/build construction.

In 2002, Jennifer moved “home” (Falls Church) with her two  boys so they could grow up in many of the same Fairfax County Schools Jennifer attended. In 2008, she sold her construction company and became a full time Realtor in McLean. Currently, Jennifer is with Keller Williams Realty and her boys are both athletes (and students) at McLean High School, while her step-daughter goes to elementary school in Prince William County. In her spare time, Jennifer is president of the McLean High School Boosters. She volunteers with many other deserving causes such as the Leukemia Society.  GO HIGHLANDERS!

Alison Senold, McLean resident, married, mother of two boys.

She is a Virginia native, a graduate of Oakton High School and the University of Virginia. She is the mother of two elementary school aged boys.

She has a Masters in Social Work  from Smith College and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. She has worked in a variety of social service settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient treatment centers, homeless shelters and private clinical practice. She is currently a full time mother.

When her children are in school she volunteers at Doorways for Women and Families and is very involved in the PTA. In her spare time she loves reading, gardening , hiking with her family and playing with her dogs.

Kathleen Weil, McLean resident, married with three daughters and a sheltie. 

Her oldest daughter is a student at a McLean public elementary school, and the other two are at a private preschool. 

Kathleen, a former professor at a local university,  she is a full time mother.  Kathleen worked a legislative fellow in the United States Senate while completing her PhD, focusing on health policy, research and ethics.  She has also worked at the National Human Genome Research Institute, managing ethical issues arising from cancer genetics research, and at the National Institute of Mental Health (at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD).

She has written three children’s stories, was an extra in Forrest Gump, and has performed on stage as a guest artist at the Kennedy Center with the NYC ballet.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, yoga and music.

Anne Wydler, McLean resident, married with two daughters.

Anne is a long-time Northern Virginia resident.  She moved to McLean (from Falls Church) with her husband, Steve and young daughter in 2004 and a second daughter was born in early 2006.  Their girls are currently enrolled at The Langley School. 

She works part-time as part of her husband’s residential real estate team, Wydler Brothers, as back office support - marketing consultant, payroll, HR, event planning.  Prior to working in real estate she had her own wedding planning business. 

After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1995, Anne lived for two years in Charlotte, working for Raycom Sports and avidly following every ACC basketball game.  She moved to Arlington in 1997 to work for AOL, which is where she met her husband, in the cafeteria.  Anne first managed AOL’s relationships with its entertainment content providers such as Oprah and Nickelodeon and then moved to the business side, where she negotiated deals with artists and record labels.  During a stint with AOL Europe in London, she worked on the launch of the Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring Movies as well as the European leg of Madonna’s Drowned World Tour.  In her spare time, Anne enjoys yoga, watching bad reality shows and travelling.
