McLean Third Richest 'Small City' in the Nation, Survey Says

McLean was sandwiched between two California towns: Palo Alto and Redondo Beach.

A real estate blog has dubbed McLean the third richest "little city" in the country. (We know, McLean is not really a city!)

Here's what Movoto Blog had to say about the cities on its list:

"They might be tiny, but these places make up for it with big bank accounts, fast cars and more luxurious amenities than you can shake a 24 karate gold stick at."

And here's what they had to say about McLean: "McLean placed first overall in our “really expensive jewelry stores per capita” criterion, which is a little disconcerting to think about when you consider who pays the salary of many McLean residents (hint: it’s us)."

Here's how McLean ranked:

1. Bethesda, Md.
2. Palo Alto, Calif.
3. McLean, Va.
4. Redondo Beach, Calif.
5. Menlo Park, Calif.
6. Lexington, Mass.
7. Brentwood, Tenn.
8. Foster City, Calif.
9. Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
10. Laguna Niguel, Calif.
11. Hoboken, N.J. (tied for 10th place)
