Northern Virginia Summer Brewfest

  • When/Where: June 25, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and June 26, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; 41793 Tutt Lane, Leesburg, VA, 20176
  • Why Go: Featuring more than 40 American style beer breweries, time to see the true intricacies of beer-making and even how to make your own. Local restaurants will be providing food like chicken wings and chili and there will even be activities for kids like face painting and moon bounces.
  • Pricing:  $25 for adults at the gate, $20 in advance; $20 for designated drivers, $15 in advance; children accompanied by an adult are free

Friday Night dance

  • When/Where: June 24, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Old Firehouse Teen Center; 1234 Ingleside Ave. McLean, VA 22101
  • Why Go: A fun place for teenagers to relax and dance the night away. With a live DJ and tons of games, this is the place to be Friday night.
  • Pricing: $5 for members/ $10 for others

Earth, Wind, and Fire

  • When/Where:  June 26, at 8 p.m.; 1645 Trap Road, Vienna, Virginia 22182
  • Why Go:  These Rock n’ Roll legends are finally here this weekend, therefore you cannot miss out. Be prepared to enjoy all of their greatest funky hits!
  • Pricing: $45 in-house, $30 for lawn

Civil War Sesquicentennial Weekend

  • When/Where: June 24-25, at the Falls Church Community Center and Cherry Hill Park
  • Why Go:  The city of Falls Church is commemorating the 150th anniversary of Thaddeus Lowe and the first military reconnaissance in America. On Friday, there will be a premiere of “Ballooning in the Civil War” at 7:30 p.m. in the Falls Church Community Center and on Saturday there will be a free “Thaddeus Lowe Balloon Demonstration” at Cherry Hill Park.
