No Lane Closures on I-495 Scheduled Next Week (Mercifully!)
Construction of the subway bridge over the I-495 Capital Beltway will continue next week, no lane closures will be required for the Silver Line project. The large horizontal truss will not be operate over the Beltway.
Major Water Line Work to Close Leesburg Pike (Route 7) at Spring Hill Road Overnights through Saturday, April 16
Installation continues of a major waterline at the intersection of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Spring Hill Road, requiring the closure of all lanes of northbound Spring Hill Road for a 150-foot stretch north of Route 7.
Traffic from Route 7 will be detoured to use Westpark Drive, to Greensboro Drive, to access Spring Hill Road. Southbound Spring Hill Road traffic wishing to access Route 7 will use the reverse of that route. This work is expected to last through the overnight hours of Saturday, April 16.
Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.
Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Spring Hill Rd. - Left turn lane and closed Sunday - Saturday nights for waterline installation. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at Tyco Rd. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and make a right onto Spring Hill Rd.
Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Westpark Dr. to Spring Hill Rd. - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for utility work. Expect intermittent road closures of up to 15 minutes after midnight.

Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south from Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) to Capital One Dr. - Two right lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work.

Spring Hill Rd. traffic will be directed to take Greensboro Rd. south, make a left onto Westpark Dr. and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7). Greensboro Rd. traffic will close directed to make a right onto Spring Hill Rd., left onto Tyco Rd. and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7).
Westwood Center Dr. east at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Single lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for paving.
