Slain Honors Student, Mars Candy Heiress Wreck and More: October's Top Stories
Rounding up the top news stories in McLean from October.
McLean could use a bit more good news in November, as October's top stories were largely marked by the tragic death of Mark Edward Waugh, a young Great Falls man known for his debating skills and being a first-year law student. Stories about the fatal car wreck in Loudoun County, in which billionaire Mars Inc. co-owner Jacqueline Badger Mars was eventually charged, also got a lot of attention.
Several of our data projects, which show McLean through a different lens based on Census data, drew reader interest, too. We'll have more of those data stories in the future.
