Spring Trout Season Starts at Lake Fairfax

Park Authority officials stocked the lake with rainbow trout this weekend.

Spring trout season is already underway at Lake Fairfax Park.

The Fairfax County Park Authority began stocking Lake Fairfax with trout this weekend, and will continue through mid-April.

Anglers can purchase season trout passes at the main office at Lake Fairfax Park. Passes are valid for one calendar year, with adult passes costing $60. A pass for children ages 6 – 15 is $30. Senior passes (ages 65 and older) is $45.

A daily take limit of six fish per person is enforced. A Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) state issued freshwater fishing license is required for fishermen ages 16 and older.
