Sun Today, Snow Tomorrow? Tuesday Forecast for McLean

Snow is very likely for Tuesday, forecasters say.

A winter storm watch is in effect for Fairfax County and all of the greater Washington area beginning Tuesday morning and extending into the evening, according to National Weather Service reports. 

McLean could see between 3 and 7 inches of new snow accumulate, according to the weather service. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent, with the temperature falling to 18 degrees by 5 p.m.

Snow is expiated to continue until 11 p.m. Tuesday.  Tuesday night should see a low around 6 degrees with wind chill values as low as -12, according to the weather service.

Blowing snow could reduce visibility, making driving conditions challenging for motorists.  

Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing through Saturday.
