McLean Named Third-Best 'City' in Virginia

Real estate research blog praises low crime, high median income and home values.

The real estate blog Movoto has named McLean the third best "city" in Virginia.

Movoto is a California-based real estate research blog that ranks cities, towns and Census-designated places on various factors. 

It analyzed the best places in Virginia based on amenities per person, cost of living, crime, household income, diversity and other factors. You can read the full report and methodology on their website.

McLean came in at No. 3. According to the report, McLean's crime rate is 58 percent lower than the state average, while its median income is 192 percent higher than the state average and home prices are nearly 300 percent higher.
