Overnight Closures of Eastbound Dulles Toll Road Lanes and Ramp from Route 7

Dulles Corridor Metrorail construction will implement lane closures on the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) overnights. The right three lanes of Route 267 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Thursday, April 19, and from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, April 20. In addition, the ramp from eastbound Leesburg Pike (Route 7) onto eastbound Route 267 will be closed during this time.

Motorists traveling on eastbound Route 7 who wish to access the eastbound Toll Road will want to take a U-turn at Tyco Road and utilize the ramp onto the Toll Road from westbound Route 7. The ramps coming off of the eastbound Toll Road onto east and westbound Route 7 will remain open.

These closures are necessary to complete the last stretch of the aerial guideway (flyover bridge) that crosses both highways. Traffic is not allowed to flow under active construction for public safety reasons.

Tysons Boulevard Thru Lanes to Close Overnights Mondaythrough Saturday

Tysons Boulevard will be closed between Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and Galleria Drive overnights Sunday, April 15 through Saturday, April 21 to allow for overhead bridge, pier, and station work near the future Tysons Central 123 Station.

This also will require the closures of the turn lanes on to Tysons Boulevard from northbound and southbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123), and northbound and southbound Galleria Drive. Generally, these lane closures will begin at 11 p.m., and will be lifted around 5 a.m. the following morning.

Detours around this closure will be in place. Please use extreme caution, pay attention to signage, and obey police direction if traveling around this intersection.

Overnight Lane Closures Near Capital One Entrance Monday Through Friday

Crews will be working on storm drainage across southbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123), which will require closing thru lanes overnights Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 20.

Capital One Entrance to Remain Closed Overnights Friday and Saturday

The main entrance of the Capital One campus in McLean will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 for utility work. To access the Capital One campus, use the alternate entrance via Scotts Crossing Road.

This entrance also will be closed over several weekends as crews continue work at that intersection.

Daytime Lane Closures on Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) to Continue into Late Summer

Construction activities on eastbound Route 267 will continue into late summer as crews complete work on the retaining walls and begin construction of a new shoulder area between the rail and road. Expect to see intermittent delays on this route due to daily lane closures and look for alternate routes if possible.

Pile Driving to Continue at Tysons Central 7 Station

Crews have begun construction of the foundations for the pedestrian pavilions for each of the Tysons Corner Metrorail Stations. Pile driving has begun to move to the south pavilion of Tysons Central 7, near Westpark Drive/Gosnell Road, and will last throughout the week before moving on to Tysons West.

Pile driving can generate significant noise. The activity drives steel piles into the soil to build foundations for pavilion structures. The pile driving will be performed between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays and the occasional Saturday.
