Vienna is turning its Historic Town Green into a German Beer Garden for Vienna’s Oktoberfest, complete with brews, bratwurst, German music, and a festival marketplace. Admission is free. Vienna Historic Town Green, 144 Maple Avenue East, Vienna; Saturday, October 1, 11am – 7 pm; Vienna Chamber of Commerce.

This is the last weekend to see the lively and farcical production of Don't Dress for Dinner at the 1st Stage Theatre.  Critics are calling the face-paced comedy “energetic,” and “wonderfully complicated.” And as the Fairfax Times says, “1st Stage gives a hint of what the “new” Tysons Corner could offer.” Here’s hoping. Tickets are $15 to $25. 1st Stage Theatre, 1524 Spring Hill Road, McLean; Saturday, October 1 at 2 pm and 8 pm; Sunday, October 2 at 2 pm & 7 pm; 1ststagetysons.org.

MPAartfest provides the unique opportunity to celebrate McLean’s art scene with a stroll through an outdoor gallery. The annual festival features 46 artists, food vendors, music, plein air demonstrations, and kids activities. Admission is free, although a $5 donation to the McLean Project for the Arts would be welcomed. McLean Central Park, McLean; Sunday October 2, 10 am - 5 pm; mpaart.org/artfest.
