Auditions for As You Like It

Theatrical Teens (currently in grades 9 - 11) can audition for this summer's touring production of Shakespeare's As You Like It, produced by Traveling Players Ensemble (in residence at The Madeira School).

Please prepare a Shakespearean monologue (min. 14 lines). Wear comfortable clothes so you can move around. Auditions will include some improvisational games as well as cold readings from the play. Please familiarize yourself with the plot and characters of the play.

Traveling Players Ensemble trains teenagers in classical theatre and gives them touring opportunities. Our mission is to bring great theatre into the great outdoors, reflecting the origins of theatre when minstrels and theatre troupes roamed the countryside, relying on the barest props and the boldest imagination to convey  their art.
