Free Chamber Music Is Back

From October through May, Concerts at the Alden, the premier showcase for great chamber music in Northern Virginia, features both professional musicians who have won international recognition for their artistry and youngsters who are rising stars.

On Sunday, Oct. 9,  The Alden welcomes four talented soloists: Joshua Brown, 12 (violin); Evelyn Mo, 13 (piano); Ava Oaxaca, 15 (oboe) and Ryo Kaneko, 17 (piano).

Joshua Brown, 12, is a homeschooled sixth grader who studies violin with Amy Beth Horman. Evelyn Mo, 13, is an eighth grader at Rachel Carson Middle School who studies piano with Thomas Mastroianni. Ava Oaxaca, 15, is a sophomore at H-B Woodlawn High School who studies oboe with James Moseley. Ryo Kaneko, 17, is a junior at McLean High School who studies piano with Marjorie Lee.
