Update: Bistro Vivant. McLean's much-anticipated French bistro got a visit from the state liquor inspector Tuesday. Co-owner Aykan Demiroglu says if that goes well he'll have a better idea of exactly when the new eatery will open in the former space in downtown McLean.

Barbara Comstock Recognized.The Virginia Chamber of Commerce has recognized three Virginia legislators "for their pro-business voting record" with its Free Enterprise Award.

Del. Barbara Comstock, R-34, who represents part of McLean plus Great Falls and a portion of Loudoun County, won along with Del. Ron Villanueva, R-Virginia Beach, and Senator Mark Obenshain, R-Harrisonburg.

McLean's M&T Bank Top SBA Lender in Washington Area. That's according to the Washington Post.

M&T, which is headquartered in McLean, has held on to the top spot through the first half of fiscal 2012 by providing 40 loans worth $5.1 million to area businesses, the Post reported.
