Chipotle Officially Opens in Downtown McLean

The "fast casual" restaurant sells tacos and big burritos, as well as salads and burrito bowls.

If you're slightly sick of the heavy holiday food, you're in luck. Chipotle is now officially open in downtown McLean.

A company spokeswoman confirmed that the restaurant opened at the end of November.

It is located at 6707 Old Dominion Dr. near the intersection of Chain Bridge Road in a space formerly occupied by Mae's Dress Boutique, which closed last March.

When McLean Patch first reported the news of the restaurant's impending arrival, Chris Arnold, the communications director for the company, said the decision to open a Chipotle in downtown McLean was easy.

"Our restaurants in Virginia do very well, and opening this restaurant in McLean is a logical extension of our existing footprint in that area," Arnold said.

The Denver-based has 42 other restaurants in Virginia. A second McLean Chipotle is located inside Tysons Corner Center.
