Electric Car Chargers Installed at Tysons Corner Marriott

The charging stations are complimentary for hotel guests.

By the end of the year, 11,000 electric car charging stations will be installed across the country and, according to the Washington Business Journal, two of the newest are located right in Tysons Corner.

Guests at the Tysons Corner Marriott can now charge their electric vehicle's in the hotel's parking garage, the Business Journal reports in a recent article.

Shelly DiMeglio, general manager of , is quoted in the article, "By providing this complimentary service, we engage our guests in practices that protect the environment. At the same time, we assist guests who have adopted cost-effective transportation in a tight economy."

Northern Virginia has been rated one of the "best" (most environmentally friendly) areas to charge electric cars by the Union of Concerned Scientists, the Washington Post reported earlier this year.
