Patch is talking to small businesses in Georgetown this week as we gear up for Small Business Saturday.
We received these answers from Barre3's Jill Warren.
What is business like for you during the holidays?
This will be our first year to be open during the holidays, and we are very excited for the energy it will bring.
Any crazy prep? (Classes extra full? Working with staff schedules? Lots of cancellations?)
Our eight instructors and two full-time managers have been incredibly generous with their time in offering to cover classes and shifts for those who are traveling for the holidays. This teamwork will allow us to keep our full schedule running through the end of the year. In our first year in business, we are unsure is classes will be packed or lean. We are optimistically planning for full and packed classes.
What are your holiday hours?
We have clients already expressing interest in our holiday schedule. Our holiday hours will remain the same with a few class cancellations here and there. We will only have one Thanksgiving Day class and will close on Christmas Day, but otherwise, we will maintain our full 47 class per week schedule. Any class cancellations are noted on our online schedule at www.barre3.com/georgetown.
What's your favorite part of the holiday season?
I love the charm of Georgetown and all of DC during the holidays! The wonderfully bright lights, the hustle and bustle of shoppers, and the blend of spirituality and patriotism makes DC a very special place. As a Texan, my icing on the cake would be to see snow on the ground.
