Colin Powell Represents U.S. In Jamaica

The McLean resident is the son of Jamaican immigrants.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell wasn't spotted anywhere around McLean on Monday.

Powell, a McLean resident, traveled to Jamaica this week, heading a delegation tapped by President Barack Obama to celebrate the island's 50th anniversary of freedom, according to statement by the Jamaican government.

Powell is the son of Jamaican immigrants and was raised in the Bronx.
