Dulles Toll Road, Beltway Closures This Week

Weather permitting, road crews will be closing lanes on the Dulles Toll Road for electric work, a pedestrian bridge and other major construction.

According to Virginia Megaprojects: 

Closures from Sunday through Thursday nights are between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday and Saturday night road closure work is scheduled between 9:30 p.m. and 9 a.m.

TOTAL TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF DULLES TOLL ROAD west at Wiehle Ave. for final pedestrian bridge installation and station work Wednesday night. The Airport Access Hwy west will also close, as will some access points. Click here for complete details.

SILVER LINE, MCLEAN AND TYSONS AREA CLOSURES

Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at Tysons Blvd. - Left turn lane closed Monday through Thursday nights for canopy installation. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto International Dr., right on Galleria Dr. and follow signs to Tysons Blvd.

Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at Capital One Dr. - Two left turn lanes closed Monday through Friday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to continue north, make a left onto Scotts Crossing Rd. and follow signs to Capital One Dr.

Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at Tysons Blvd. – Two right turn lanes and right lane closed Monday through Thursday nights for canopy and panel installation. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a right onto International Dr., right onto Galleria Dr.

Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) to Frontage Rd. - Two left lanes closed Monday through Thursday nights for panel installation.

Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) to Westwood Center Dr. - Left lane and left turn lane closed Monday through Thursday nights for traffic shift.

Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Gosnell Rd. to Marshalls Dr. - Two lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights for roadway shift.

Tysons Blvd. east from Galleria Dr. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Two through lanes and right turn lane closed Monday through Thursday nights for pedestrian bridge and canopy installation. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Galleria Dr. east, left onto Westbranch Dr., right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).

Galleria Dr. west at Tysons Blvd. - Three left turn lanes closed Monday through Thursday nights for canopy installation. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr., and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).

BELTWAY EXPRESS LANES

I-495 south from Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) to Heming Ave. underpass - Three lanes closed Sunday – Friday nights for punch list work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 

Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday – Friday nights for lighting and punch list work.

I-495 Express Lanes north and south between the Dulles Toll Rd. and Braddock Rd. - Single lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for punch list work.
