1. First Sunday Jazz Brunch

  • When/Where: Brunch starts at 11 a.m. (until 2 p.m.) Sunday at Bazin's On Church, 111 Church St. NW, Vienna
  • Why Go: "First Sunday Jazz Brunch begins Sunday January 6 with the series being continued on the first Sunday of each month following. Bring your friends and family for wonderful Sunday Brunch Bazin's style while grooving to jazz performed by members of Virginia Music Adventures' Chapel Square Combo! A portion of the sales will be donated to VMA to support their international outreach programs."

2. Teaching Cents to Your Kids

  • When/Where: The program starts at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 1244 Oak Ridge Ave., McLean
  • Why Go: "An expert from the Navy Federal Credit Union shows parents techniques for teaching their kids about money. Presented by the Marshall High School DECA."
  • Pricing: Free to attend.

3. Yoga Flow at The Yoga Center

  • When/Where: The class starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at The Yoga Center. 1988 Kirby Road, McLean.
  • Why Go: Get your weekend - and the new year - started on the right foot. Make this Saturday morning yoga class part of your regular weekend routine.
  • Pricing: The class costs $12.

4. Young Soloists Perform at The Alden

  • When/Where: The concert starts at 3 p.m. Sunday at The Alden Theater in the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean.
  • Why Go: "Free chamber music concerts cosponsored by the Music Friends of the Fairfax County Public Library and the Alden.
    All concerts begin at 3 p.m. on the Sundays below and are open to the public. Tickets are not required."
  • Pricing: Free to attend.
