Save the Date: 'Bluebell at the Bend'

Bluebells peak in April and Riverbend Park will be celebrating April 13.

Check out the Virginia bluebells as they cascade down the banks of the Potomac River on Saturday, April 13.

That's the date of Riverbend Park's annual Bluebells at the Bend celebration. In addition to checking out the scenery, the day includes games, animals, music from Andrew McKnight, wildflower walks and wagon rides.

The program is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13 and the cost is $5 per person.

Riverbend Park is located at 8700 Potomac Hills Street in Great Falls. For more information, go to www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/riverbend, or call 703-759-9018.
