Weekend Road Work: Panel Installation on Dolley Madison Boulevard

Heaing out of town or leaving the office late on Friday? Here's what you need to know before hitting the road.

The following information is taken from Virginia Megaprojects weekly list. Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

Tysons Corner/McLean:

• Two lanes on Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south at Scotts Crossing Rd. to Capital One Dr. closed Friday for acoustic panel installation.
• Left turn lane of Westwood Center Dr. at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) closed Friday and Saturday night for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, make a U-turn at Spring Hill Rd. and then a right onto Tyco Rd.
• Right turn lane of Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. closed Friday and Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd (Route 123).
• Three left turn lanes closed at Galleria Dr. west at Tysons Blvd. Friday and Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr., and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Two lanes of Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. closed Friday and Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Galleria Dr., right onto Tysons Blvd., left on International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).

Chain Bridge Road:

• Two turn lanes on Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at International Dr. closed Friday and Saturday for panel installation.
• Multiple lanes on Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at Tysons Blvd. closed Friday night for water main installation.
• Ramps on Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north to I-495 south closed Friday and Saturday nights for paving. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to make a right onto International Dr. south, make a left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Two lanes on Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at I-495 closed Friday and Saturday nights for lighting and punch list work.

Leesburg Pike:

• Left turn lanes on Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Westwood Center Dr. closed Sunday night for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at Jarrett Valley Dr. and a right onto Westwood Center Dr.
• Two lanes of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) closed Friday for utility work.
• Left turn lane of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Tyco Rd. closed Sunday night for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make U-turn at Spring Hill Rd. and make a right onto Tyco Rd.
• Left lane of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Gosnell Rd. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123)  closed Friday and Saturday nights for equipment delivery.
• Left turn and through lane of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) closed for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a U-turn at Jarrett Valley Dr. and make a right onto Westwood Center Dr.
• Ramps from Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east to I-495 north closed Friday and Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to take International Dr. north, make a right onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north.

Dulles Roads:

• Left lane of Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west from Idylwood Rd. overpass to Pimmit Run closed Friday for shoulder construction.
• Ramp from Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west to I-495 north closed Friday night for milling. Prior to the work zone, traffic will be directed to take Exit 19A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Ramps on Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north and south closed Friday and Saturday nights for painting and punch list work. Traffic will be directed to continue east to Exit 19A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and follow signs to I-495 north or south.

I-495:

• I-495 south to Exit 45 A and B, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west and east - Ramp closed Friday night for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south to exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west or east.
• I-495 south to Exit 45A, Dulles Toll Rd. (route 267) west ramp will be closed Friday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south to exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.
• Ramps on I-495 south to Exit 46 A and B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and north closed Friday and Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 47 B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a right onto International Dr. north and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Ramps on I-495 south to Exit 47 A and B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east closed Friday and Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47A or B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west or east.
• Ramps on I-495 north to Exit 47 A and B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east closed Friday and Saturday nights for barrier and punch list work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47 A or B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west or east.
