Republican Will Air First TV Ad Thursday in 10th District Race

Roll Call says the ad takes aim at frontrunner Del. Barbara Comstock.

Retired Naval officer Howie Lind, hoping to represent Virginia's 10th District in Congress, will hit the TV airwaves Thursday when he airs what's reportedly the first TV ad of the Republican primary in the race, according to a report by Capitol Hill's CQ Roll Call newspaper.

Lind is one of six members of the GOP jockeying for the 10th District seat soon to be vacated, after longtime Congressman Frank R. Wolf heads for the exit. Lind's first ad, Roll Call notes, appears to be going after fellow Republican and said-to-be front-runner in the race: state Del. Barbara Comstock.

“Howie Lind for Congress,” the announcer says. “Because it’s not about whose turn it is, but who’s going to stand up for us.”
