Dining for Dollars Fundraiser for Falls Church-McLean Children's Center

Panera Bread will host a
fundraising event on Wednesday, December 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in support
of the Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center, a local preschool in its 45th
year of service that provides affordable, high-quality child care for
low-income working families.

Funds donated by Panera Bread will also be matched by a generous donor, Iza Cupcake, a cupcake bakery in Northern Virginia.

“Our Center must fundraise each year to ensure every child receives the quality early learning experiences they deserve,” said Children’s Center Director Kathy Banks. “We are lucky to have found a matching sponsor, Iza Cupcake, to match all the money we earn at our last 2013 fundraiser.  Come out and support the Center and help us provide quality learning for all children.”

The Children’s Center’s “whole child” program guides young children, ages 2 to 5, to build their language, cognitive, social and physical skills to be ready for kindergarten.  Without high quality interactions and enrichment in the first years of development, many children start kindergarten behind on needed skills and are subject to school failure.  The Children’s Center offers intervention services, at no extra cost to parents, to ensure that children with identified delays get the services they need to start kindergarten on par with their peers.

Panera Bread is located at 450 W. Broad Street in Falls Church.  For the Children’s Center to receive a portion of sales, a flyer must be shown at checkout. Please visit http://fcmlcc.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Falls-Church-Mclean-Childrens-Center1.pdf to download the flyer.  For more information, call (703) 534-4907.
