In this class for beginners, you will be introduced (or re-introduced) to basic yoga postures, movements and breathing techniques designed to help you discover and explore your body and energy flow, as well as build your competence and confidence in practicing yoga.
Classes include total body stretching with passive holding of poses and a variety of gentle twists and body movements, combined with repetition and practice of popular postures, to strengthen and bring more flexibility to the body, mind, and spirit. Class concludes each week with a focus on relaxation techniques. Students will also leave each class with tips and skills to build their own home yoga practice, a goal of many budding yogis and yoginis.
