Sundays in Lent - Sound and Silence

Sunday Mornings in Lent: Sound and
Silence

On Sunday mornings in Lent we will begin in the Sanctuary for a shortened Eucharist. After the service, children will go to Sunday school while youth and adults will go to Hudson Hall for a time of fellowship and spiritual deepening.

The theme is Sound and Silence. We will explore how experiences of silence and of music might help us become more grounded in the realm of God’s Spirit.  The schedule for these Sundays:
Feb. 17: Introduction to Sound and Silence in Scripture, The Rev. Carole Crumley (The Shalem Institute)
Feb. 24: Chanting the Spirit, Walter Koehler (Organist and Choirmaster, St. Thomas’)
March 3: Mindfulness and Music, Margel Snead (Music Therapist and member, St. Thomas’)
March 10: Drumming the Spirit, Kofi Dennis (Drum Teacher at St Thomas’)
March 17: Contemplative Eucharist, The Rev. Carole
Crumley
