GFCA Town Meeting - Deer Management, Trails

New Proposals for Deer Management and Trails in the Great Falls Village Center

All area residents and business people are invited to the March Great Falls Citizen Association Town meeting.

Part 1: Deer Management, What are our Challenges? The GFCA will provide speakers and an open forum for identifying the environmental and safety concerns facing Great Falls residents. Hear more about the impact of the swelling deer population on our forests and landscapes, their role in spreading Lyme and other tick-borne diseases (along with prevention tips and symptoms to watch for), and the unfortunate number of local vehicular collisions involving deer.

Part 2: Trails, Paths & Sidewalks: Is there only one right solution? Robert Mobley, AIA, a long-time resident and local practicing architect, will be presenting his trails concept for Great Falls that includes making the village more walkable and embraces the idea of a network of soft and hard surfaces in Great Falls for pedestrian and non-motorized transportation.

Make your voice heard in Great Falls - we hope to see you at the public meeting!
