Please join the McLean Historical Society to hear Professor Jimmy Price discuss his research on Arlington's Freedman's Village, which operated at the current site of Arlington National Cemetery from 1863-1900. Mr. Price is the Historic Site Manager of Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park and Ben Lomond Historic Site in Prince William County, and he teaches Civil War History at Germanna College. His first book, "The Battle of New Market Heights: Freedom Will Be Theirs By The Sword" was a nonfiction nominee for the Library of Virginia Literary Awards.
