Pathways to Peace Forum & Luncheon

Pathways to Peace Forum & Luncheon:

Have you ever wondered about the processes used to pursue peace and reconciliation in the world? Our congregation has a deep expert in this area -- Hal Saunders -- who is the architect of Sustained Dialogue, "a public peace process" designed to change relationships among those in deep-rooted human conflict -- and as assistant secretary of state was intensively involved in the Arab-Israeli peace process of the 1970's which produced six Arab-Israeli agreements, 1974-79, including the Camp David accords and the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty.

Hal will describe the historical peace process still in use today. Nancy Searby will describe how Earth science is used to collaboratively address transboundary issues. St. Dunstan's seminarian Justin Ivatts will reflect on his recent trip to Jerusalem on the subject of how Religious Leaders are contributing.

Please join us March 2nd after the 10:15 AM service for a presentation and dialogue about Pathways to Peace -- Historical Peace Process, Use of Earth Sciences, and Reflections on Religious Leader Contributions. Lunch will be served, and a free will offering will be collected. Any proceeds will  go towards our ministry with Carpenter's Kids, where we are in a relationship with Wilunze, Tanzania, to help meet children's educational needs.
