Persecution of Women and Minorities in the Muslim World

Panelists at this event will discuss reasons the Muslim World has become an epitome of violence and discrimination against women and minorities despite Muslims claiming to have a peaceful religion.  Why are injustices committed in the name of Islam, such as preventing girls from attending schools and minorities from worshipping in peace?  Why do people like Malala Yousufzai get shot in the head if they speak out against such discrimination?  Why doesn’t somebody stop them?
