Veronneau - World-jazz at Falls Church, Cherry Hill Park, Summer Concert Series

Veronneau, an acoustic world-jazz band and four-time WAMMIE winners, bring their vocal and guitar based international repertoire to the Falls Church summer concert series.

This will be the bands final performance before starting their July 2014 European tour which takes them to festivals and jazz venues throughout England and Scotland and to record a live performance for BBC radio. For the Falls Church show they will be joined by violinist Dave Kline, who recently performed with Chick Corea at his Blues Alley solo shows.

Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau, joined by British guitarist Ken Avis and Brazilian trained guitarist David Rosenblatt will be performing bossa nova, samba, french jazz and swing from their two top 10 world and jazz music charting albums, Joie de Vivreand Jazz Samba Project

"As summer concert season rolls in there's one band whose music seems perfect for a relaxed afternoon, escaping your worries under the sun. Veronneau's music engages a sort of sundry nostalgia, pulling together the sounds of 1960's Brazilian beaches with old film sets on the Riviera." Capitalbop

"Veronneau is the sexy black dress of jazz vocals...welcome to the land of rhythm and groove" Critical Jazz

"Music for bright lights and big stages" Canadian Audiophile

"Best Jazz Vocals, Best Jazz Group, Best Jazz Recording" Washington Area Music Association WAMMIE Awards.

Veronneau- Cherry Hill Park Falls Church (in the event of inclement weather the show will be indoors at the Falls Church Community Center) - Free and family friendly.
